HOW LONG IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO BOOK THE BACKYARD BARREL SAUNA?
A minimum of two days notice is required for sauna bookings. Please consult the booking calendar for current availability.
WHAT ARE THE DROP OFF AND PICK-UP TIMES?
The sauna is typically dropped off in the late afternoon (between 3:00-6:00pm) and picked up late morning (between 10:00am and 1:00pm).
Tow & Go pick up between 1:00pm and 3:00pm.
DO I NEED TO BE THERE WHEN THE BACKYARD BARREL IS DELIVERED?
Ideally you are at home to ensure optimal sauna placement. If you have specific delivery needs please contact us and we can make a plan together.
HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE ABLE TO USE THE BACKYARD BARREL AT ONCE?
The sauna fits up to 6-8 adults comfortably at a time.
DOES THE BACKYARD BARREL SAUNA REQUIRE ELECTRICAL HOOKUP?
No. This is a wood-burning stove that can run without any electricity.
DO YOU DELIVER OUTSIDE OF WINNIPEG?
Yes! We charge a small fee for this additional service. We charge $2 per km for delivery and pick up outside of the city of Winnipeg. We use google maps to confirm the distance from the perimeter to your location.
CAN I PICK UP AND RETURN THE BACKYARD BARREL MYSELF?
Yes, you can! When filling out the rental request hit the "Make it a "Tow and Go" in the request section. No charge for KM's.
You'll need a valid drivers license, a vehicle that can pull 3500lbs, a hitch with a 2" ball and a working 4 or 7 pin connector.
The pickup time is before 4pm and return time is before 1pm.
We'll go over everything with you at pickup, and do a walk around before you leave.
CAN I RENT THE BACKYARD BARREL SAUNA FOR JUST 1 NIGHT?
The minimum rental period is two nights.
HOW MUCH WOOD IS INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL?
Included in the rental is enough wood for 4-5hrs of burn time per night. If you would think you’ll use more than what is included you can always provide your own or can order “extra wood" from us for $17 per bag.
DO I HAVE TO PUT THE BACKYARD BARREL IN MY BACK YARD?
The saunas can be placed on most level, vehicle accessible places on your property. The front yard, backyard and driveway are all great options. See FAQ “Where can sauna be placed?”
WHERE CAN THE BACKYARD BARREL BE PLACED?
When deciding where to put the sauna, consider the following criteria:

It needs to be on your completely on your property

7ft wide, 10ft long and 9ft tall clearance (to get through a gate or yard opening). We need some room to maneuver the truck that is towing the sauna.

No overhead obstructions or wires.

It must be 3ft away from other buildings such as a house or garage.

Relatively level ground.
If you are still unsure if your property can accommodate the sauna, send us a message and we can figure it out together.
NOTE: The sauna is heavy and towed by a vehicle. If the installation location requires driving off paved surfaces, it may leave indentations or tracks. We won't be held liable for damage to the lawn, flower beds…. Please choose your sauna location accordingly!
CAN I CANCEL THE RENTAL IF I NEED TO?
We offer free cancellation up to 12 days before check-in (date shown in the confirmation email). After that, we offer a 50% refund on your rental fee.
HOW IS THE SAUNA CLEANED/SANITIZED BETWEEN BOOKINGS?
After each booking, our team cleans and sanitizes the unit. We use a wood safe cleaning product to clean the interior of the sauna.
To assist with keeping things clean, we ask that customers leave their footwear outside the sauna.
